A String Of Beaches

A String Of Beaches

The story

The La Push area offers several distinct beach destinations. Rialto Beach, north of the Quillayute River, is a cobble shore leading to the Hole-in-the-Wall sea arch. South of the river, forest trails lead to First, Second, and Third Beaches, each progressively more remote. Together they provide a range of coastal access from easy to backcountry.

Pulling away from the shore, picture the string of beaches you could reach from here, Rialto's cobbles and its sea arch, the wilder coves of First, Second, and Third Beach down their forest trails. Each one a different door onto the same wild ocean. You walked through one of them today. The others are still out there, waiting for the next trip. Head on back.
