Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ranger Tales website, mobile app, and self-guided audio tours (together, the “Service”), published by DreamSeeds Software. By using the Service or buying a tour, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Ranger Tales provides self-guided, GPS-triggered audio tours you experience at your own pace. Tours play by your phone's location and work fully offline once downloaded. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Purchases & passes

A tour is a one-time purchase — a digital pass that unlocks the tour in the Ranger Tales app and never expires. In-app purchases are handled by Apple (iOS) or Google Play (Android); website and partner (e.g. Viator, Tripadvisor) purchases are handled by their respective checkout providers. Prices are shown before purchase and may change over time, but a completed purchase is honored at the price paid.

3. Refunds

Change of mind: request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase. Technical issues: if a verified technical problem prevents access, contact us within 7 days for a refund or credit. All refund requests are reviewed at our sole discretion and, where granted, refunded to your original payment method. Purchases made inside the app are subject to Apple's or Google's refund policies; partner bookings may follow the partner's policy. Questions: mike@rangertales.com.

SMS & text-message program terms

Program description. Ranger Tales sends operational SMS text alerts to our own business staff mobile number(s) — for example, when a customer books or purchases a tour, or submits a support request — so our team can respond promptly. These are internal operational notifications, not marketing.

• Opt-in is voluntary. Consent to receive texts is optional and is never a condition of purchasing, booking, or using any Ranger Tales product or service. Where an opt-in is offered (at rangertales.com/sms-alerts), it requires an explicit, un-checked consent checkbox.
• Message frequency varies with business activity (typically only a few messages per day).
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help.
• Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in information are never shared with or sold to third parties, and are not shared for marketing purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, redistribute, resell, rip, or publicly perform the audio, maps, images, or other content; reverse-engineer the Service; or use it in any unlawful way. All tour content is for your personal use.

5. Outdoor safety

Our tours guide you through parks, trails, and roads. You are responsible for your own safety.Watch the road while driving, follow all posted rules and closures, mind weather and wildlife, and never look at your phone while moving. The Service is an audio companion, not a substitute for your own judgment or official guidance.

6. Intellectual property

The Ranger Tales name, audio, characters (including Ranger Quinn and Ranger Boone), scripts, maps, and design are owned by DreamSeeds Software and protected by law. Buying a tour grants you a personal, non-transferable license to listen — not ownership of the content.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We work hard for accuracy but don't guarantee that content, GPS behavior, or third-party data (park alerts, weather) is complete or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DreamSeeds Software is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
