And that's the loop — you're coming back into June Lake Junction, where One Fifty-Eight returns you to Highway Three Ninety-Five. Left takes you north toward Mono Lake, Lee Vining and the Tioga Road into Yosemite; right runs south to Mammoth and beyond.
Thank you for driving the June Lake Loop with us — truly. Four lakes, a backwards creek, a staircase nailed to a cliff, and a stream that came back from the dead: not bad for sixteen miles.
This is Ranger Quinn — and this is Boone Merrick. If one thing sticks, let it be the water: every lake you passed today is somebody's victory, held onto by people who loved this valley more than they feared a fight.
If you enjoyed riding with us, please leave the tour a review — it genuinely helps other travelers find these roads, and it keeps us making them. Safe travels, and if the aspen are turning: lucky you.
