Kepler Cascades

The story

Kepler Cascades is a quick roadside look, about two and a half miles past the Old Faithful overpass on the right. A level boardwalk leads to a viewing platform, with accessible parking. The falls carry the name of a governor's twelve-year-old son. Lone Star Trailhead is next door.

Kepler Cascades lot is just ahead on your right. Want a short look? Pull in. A level boardwalk runs out to a platform. Kepler was a boy. Superintendent Norris named these cascades for the twelve-year-old son of Governor Hoyt of Wyoming, a kid along on a visit with his father. Stand on that platform, count the steps in the water, and think about being twelve with your name on that. Lone Star Trailhead is just past this lot, on the same side. Turn right when you leave, and the road heads for the Continental Divide.
