A forested headland with the park's finest channel view, right where the current first piles up at the west mouth of the pass. No actual lighthouse, and the connector trail is currently storm-damaged.
That forested point jutting into the channel ahead is Lighthouse Point, and here's the honest part: nobody around here can show you a lighthouse on it. The name's older than the records, and there's none documented standing out there — so don't go hunting for a white tower. What's actually out on that headland is the best channel view in the whole park, right at the west mouth of the pass where the current first piles up. You reach it on foot from the Bowman Bay lot, out past Lottie Bay. Now the catch: the connector trail's storm-beaten right now — a washout and a damaged footbridge — so the only way through at the moment is a scramble along the beach when the tide allows, and the headland loop beyond is moderate, not a flat stroll. If you've got strong legs and good shoes, it's the wild option, the one that earns you that wide-open water. If not, save it. The view will still be out there, the channel still churning past the rock.
