The flagship self-guided tour of Niagara Falls State Park — America's FIRST state park — and the full fourteen-mile gorge corridor almost no visitor ever sees. Part one is a walking loop of the falls core: Prospect Point and the thundering American Falls, the Maid of the Mist booth, Luna Island between two waterfalls, the Nikola Tesla statue, Terrapin Point at the brink of the Horseshoe, and the Three Sisters out in the rapids. Part two drives the gorge the falls carved: the Class Six Whirlpool Rapids, the great Niagara Whirlpool and its antique Aero Car, Devil's Hole and the Seneca story of 1763, the Power Vista where Tesla's dream came true — then down the escarpment into Lewiston: the Tuscarora Heroes, Artpark where the falls were born twelve thousand years ago, the Freedom Crossing Monument where the Underground Railroad reached the river, and the 1824 Frontier House. The last miles follow the lower river to Old Fort Niagara, where three empires traded one fort and the Niagara finally meets Lake Ontario. Ranger Quinn guides; Ranger Boone Merrick stops you twelve times for the deep stories — Free Niagara, the Cataract House waiters, Annie Taylor's barrel, Tesla, the night the fort fell, and the drop of water that carries every story to the lake. The park is FREE to walk; every paid attraction is flagged as optional with a free alternate. US side only; works fully offline. Four park-and-walk legs; comfortable shoes recommended.
