The story
Bugle calls ran the clock and brass filled summer evenings. This little white pavilion held the post's soundtrack, played by musicians whose roots stretched around the world.
This is the Bandstand. A post like this one was not all drill and duty. The music played here structured a soldier's whole day and gave the community its entertainment, and its international roots echoed the many immigrant soldiers and workers who lived at the barracks. Imagine brass carrying across the field on a summer evening. When you are ready, turn southwest to face the row of bushes directly across the Parade Ground from the flagstaff. You can walk closer over the grass, or take it in from here.
